When we think of a Psychic Reader/Medium, we often picture a woman with a scarf around her head gazing into a crystal ball. The truth is that psychics are male, female, short, tall....you get the picture.
To get a good reading you need to find the right psychic and have the right attitude. When I first started to do readings I put a lot of pressure on myself mainly because, I thought I should know everything about a persons life whether it be finances, relationships, family, careers etc. The truth is I am given the information that is relevant and needed for the client at that particular moment in their life. It just wastes my time and your time for me to tell "you that have a husband, 2 children and a dog" it may astound you but I didn't give any real insight into where your life is heading. It is a lot more helpful for you to tell me at the start of the reading what area of your life you would like insight into for example "I have had some troubles within my marriage, I was hoping that you could give me some insight is happening?" I don't expect your full life story obviously but it gives me and my guides something to work with. There is a very big difference between giving me the area that you need insight into and me fishing for information. It is always up to you how much information that you want to give me.
I am way past the stage of feeling that I need to prove myself as a psychic, if you only want a reading to "test" me or for a bit of fun please don't waste my time, other people's time and your own time. Basically, if you want to gain as much as you can from a reading, stay as open as possible to what you are about to hear, there may be some things that you do not want to hear or understand. Often it will make sense in the near future, if I had a dollar for every e-mail or phone call I have had from people that have said "AJ when you said blah blah, well I now understand!". If you approach the reading with faith and an open minded demeanour, it will create an environment where communication will flow a lot easier.
The hardest people to read for are people who close themselves off, such as crossing their arms and legs so the energy doesn't flow properly, it take a huge amount of energy for the reader and no one benefits. Another difficult person to read for. is the one that only wants to know about their future without discussing any present events. It is the present events that lead us to our future events and I like it to be known that your future is not set in stone, you always have free will. In other words, if you don't like what is in your future, you are able to change your attitudes and choices(free will).
If you are having a reading by phone or the internet, try to make yourself as free of distractions as possible, it is terrible frustrating and sometimes impossible to get the connection back once it is lost by interruptions.
When I do a reading, I have no control over whether a friend or loved one that has passed over comes through, there is no way to guarantee anything with a reading. It may be a distant relative or a loved one of one of your friends. You can be pretty sure that there is a reason that this particular spirit has come through such as, a message that you may not understand at the time but in time will make sense. Spirits are delighted to hear from us but DO have lives on the other side so sometimes they are not able to be contacted.
Over time I have learnt that I can't sort out everyone's problems. I often do readings for clients that have very complex lives, who believe that I will be able to solve these dilemmas for them. The fact is I usually only have 30 minutes to an hour to spend with the client, so I try to discover what is causing the anguish and lead them in the right direction.
Please remember that no psychic is 100% correct all of the time. Readings often involves the psychic/intuitive deciphering different types of information such as symbols, signals, sounds, feelings, pictures, impressions. A good reader is person who is able to interpret the majority of this data in clear and concise manner.
